The gravel stings my bare feet
Good pain
The pain of summer
When my feet are elevated from the perils of the world
School will begin again

And this is why the second the last bell rings
My shoes disappear
And that layer of dirt
That never washes off
Starts to replace my socks

This poem needs help! Anyone with constructive criticism rules! I posted this mostly because I realized I was lacking happy poems in my modest collection of posted deviations. And I know depressing poetry gets old sometimes. So anyway, please comment because I really need help on this! Thanks!

well, if you lacked happy poems, maybe that means you shouldn't be writing happy poems...follow your mood, never push anything out.

i'll give you just enough disease to die.
